For the people who love, raise and work alongside neurodivergent minds.

The Adapt Deck is a set of cards that helps partners, family and colleagues meet in the middle, when two people experience the same moment in very different, equally real ways.

Each card pairs a beautifully illustrated everyday scenario with a clinically reviewed explanation of what’s happening in the neurodivergent brain, opening the door to better understanding and easier conversations.

We’re in clinical review and bringing the bespoke illustrations to life.

Like many parents of neurodivergent children, I’d gathered plenty of tips to help my daughter navigate a neurotypical world. Almost all of them were about changing her.
However one day, out together, every strategy fell flat. I remember wondering why she couldn’t just see what seemed so obvious to me.

My partner, who is also neurodivergent, calmly stepped in and spoke to her about what was really going on: the overwhelm, the fear of getting it wrong, blurring colours and sounds. In that moment I realised I’d been asking the wrong person to change. The adaptations needed to come from me, starting with understanding how a neurodivergent brain perceives and processes the world.

Once I started making those small shifts, I noticed the same pattern with friends, family and colleagues, and people began asking for my advice. The Adapt Deck is the result: illustrated cards that walk through everyday moments, explain what may be happening in a neurodivergent brain, and offer small, practical adaptations, so you can stop guessing and start adapting.
